This initiative successfully educated International School of Lusaka learners on e-waste management through the “My Environment My Future My Responsibility” campaign. This effort directly addresses the need for public awareness and proper disposal strategies in Zambia, aiming to mitigate the growing environmental risks of e-waste, which are often aggravated by limited knowledge in communities.

Key takeaways from the session included:

Active Engagement: Encouraging student responsibility for electronics disposal.

Future Action: Preparing for structured e-waste collection, which is vital for overcoming infrastructure challenges in Zambia.

Environmental Impact: Highlighting the hazardous components of e-waste and the importance of recycling.

This school awareness campaign is a crucial step towards fostering a culture of electronic waste management among the youth, aligning with broader goals for environmental protection in Zambia.
